Assistant Professor
University of Colorado
Srinivas obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He worked on the recognition of Platinum-DNA adducts by HMB1a and on modeling structure-function relationships for the calcium ion channel, Ryanodine receptor, among other projects. He conducted his postdoctoral research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, working on developing new computational and experimental methods to map nucleosome structure and dynamics in vivo during active processes like replication, transcription, and chromatin remodeling. In his own lab in the University of Colorado School of Medicine, he is focused on understanding how our genomes are regulated and on leveraging plasma cell free-DNA to develop the next generation of biomarkers for cancer and FSHD.
