Dr. Andreia Nunes received her PhD from the University of Lisbon in 2017. She joined the University of Nevada in the fall of 2017, where she first completed a postdoctoral training with Dr. Dean Burkin and then a second postdoctoral training with Dr. Peter Jones. Dr. Nunes is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada Reno. Dr. Nunes is interested in studying disease mechanisms, developing therapies and biomarker discovery for FSHD.
