Dr. Jagannathan obtained her Ph. D. in Cell Biology from Duke University in 2013. She then moved to Seattle to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratories of Drs. Stephen Tapscott and Robert Bradley. As an FSH Society postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Jagannathan studied the role of misregulated RNA quality control in FSHD pathogenesis. In January 2018, Dr. Jagannathan started her own research group at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where she continues to study how RNA quality control contributes to muscle development and disease, with a focus on FSHD.
