Philipp Heher obtained his Ph.D. with highest honors from Vienna University of Technology in 2018. His background is molecular biology, with a specific interest in modelling myogenic tissue development and disease with dynamic, bioreactor-based tissue engineering approaches. He is currently a post-doctoral fellow in Dr. Pete Zammit’s lab at King’s College London, and his primary research interest is to decipher the etiology and pathomechanistic role of metabolic stress in FSHD.
