mouse muscle

Human FSHD human muscle cells (green) transplanted to a mouse muscle.

I have spent the better part of two decades developing a deep love for all things science. My scientific goal is to figure out how to use skeletal muscle satellite cells for transplantation.  Transplantation of human muscle cells into mice will create the next generation of mouse models of human muscle diseases, and pave the way for human transplantation to treat those diseases. My personal goal is to inspire students to cultivate their curiosity, experience the wonder of scientific discovery, and motivate them to become the next generation of scientists.
