Dr. Kao was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Seattle Children’s Research Institute and is now an Associate Professor in Biology at Heritage University in Toppenish, where he teaches and mentors first-generation Latinx and Native American undergraduates. Dr. Kao is also part of the Northwest Partnership for Undergraduate Life Science Education (PULSE) leadership fellow.
