Participants with FSHD needed
for a study on facial strength

This study will help researchers better understand the progression of facial weakness that occurs in FSHD. Identifying facial weakness as a biomarker for disease progression can hasten clinical trials.

Your participation will require testing of your oral muscles and completion of several questionnaires (30 minutes total).* Testing can occur concurrently with other studies at the UW, or can occur in-home with Covid-19 precautions if in the greater Seattle area. This study requires repeat testing over 2 years.

If you have a confirmed diagnosis of FSHD and are >18 years old you are eligible for this study.
