Terry received both a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her Master's of Science in Nursing at the University of Washington in Seattle in 1980. Terry and her husband Rick have been residents of Kirkland, Washington for more than 30 years where they have raised their 4 children. Terry recently retired from the Eastside Endoscopy Center in Bellevue, Washington. Terry is a proud and active member of Eastside Women in Business.
